Beehive uses Traditional American Education which allows for higher student achievement and accellerated progress. This is the method used to teach our Founding Fathers, and many other of America's greats, including certain LDS church presidents! Through this method of education they developed greatness of character, greatness of intellect, and greatness of humanity. Under this system, it was and is not unusual for students to go on to college at age 14 and be in a profession at age 17 or 19!

STARTING DATE: AUGUST 3, 2009 or September 8, 2009

DAYS: Monday through Thursday

TIMES: 8AM - 2:50PM

AGES/CLASSES:

Primary - Ages 5-7

Intermediate - Ages 8-10

Juniors - Ages 11-14

Seniors - Ages 15-18 (This class is open ONLY to returning students who are approved by the administration. Limit 6)

COURSES OF STUDY:

PRIMARY CLASS - Following classic American education we first emphasize reading, language arts skills, and scriptural knowledge, and then the basics of math, geography, history, science, art and music.

INTERMEDIATE, JUNIOR & SENIOR CLASSES - Since all students will be new to the Beehive curriculum, each will be tested, beginning at the first levels of the curriculum and then placed in the curriculum in each subject where each needs to start. Major emphasis this year in science will be Biology and in social studies, the study of government at all levels, with especial attention to the US Constitution and its formation. Also offered, in addition to Language Arts and Math will be the Great Books Colloquium, Doctrine & Covenants & LDS Church History, Personal Finance, Creative Writing, Choir, Art, and PE.

Costs:

Registration - New Student: $200

Curriculum Usage Fee- includes use of and work on computers: $240; plus purchase your own copy of The Making of America by Cleon Skousen and The Real George Washington by Parry, Allison, and Skousen.

Tuition: $3,740 for the year. May be paid by the year, semester, or with 11 monthly installments of $340.00, beginning July 1, 2009.

HELP WANTED/TEACHER TRAINING - Beehive is looking for three persons of good and devout Latter-day Saint character who wish to be trained in private school teaching. Compensation will be commensurate with class load and includes weekly teacher-training sessions, assignments, and critiques.
